She can sing. She can dance. It's like Mnet and the rest of the world forgot how great she did in the first performance with the "baby" group. She was the one who hit the high note and stood out vocally.
But all it took for her to receive hate was one sequence of footage showing her being tired and hungry. It seems like any girl in the K-pop industry who isn't feeling her best gets slammed with the "attitude problem" label.
I'm concerned for her because this show painted her in a really unfavorable light, but she has so much potential and she isn't a bad person. What teenager doesn't get moody, hungry, and tired at times? This is normal. If this show had been hosted by Mr. J. Y. Park like with Sixteen, she would have been portrayed as the next Im Nayeon.
Meanwhile we have lots of web series and variety shows that revolve around tempting female idols with food and having them compete with each other for food as they're complaining about how hungry they are. That's seen as cute and relatable.
