Dynamite debuts at #1 on Hot Hits Korea, biggest new Korea-focused Spotify playlist

As someone w no knowledge on this - how are Spotify lists generally created? Is it algorithms based on previous listenings or paid advertisements from companies?

Top 50 lists are based on charts and the release radar type paylists are personal to user and algorithmic. Though Spotify had plans to allow payments to be pushed higher on algorithmic playlists as well.

Well, it's expected. They big domestically and internationally. Anyways, I'm curious since Spotify now available in SK, would that affect the other domestic streaming chart? I mean, the listener might get be divided to stream which platform. But, I guess idol groups is not much get attention from the public outside a few groups.

Nahh, a group that already has a strong fandom domestically and internationally will have no problem. Even without Spotify in Korea, ARMY helps a lot BTS to chart high in KChart and Spotify. I just thought about the group that only relies on the public in SK.

lol although i obviously disagree about Dyna, i agree completely about Driver's License. It's a GREAT song, one of the two best American pop songs i've heard in the past year. But what the hell is it doing on this playlist???

It's catching on in Korea or at least they're probably trying to see what all the hype is about

Can people stop with the #1. These lists dont go by streams or ULs like Korean providers. The just put popular songs near the top and adjust accordingly. LSG was #1 yesterday on this same playlist
