Per rules that go into affect next month, we're going petition only since depending on workload for various things, there might not be extra bandwidth for anything but the promised two. We are also not letting users dictate how many badges are made. There will always be at least one, but it is up to staff (and me and my workload, lol) whether more will be made.

We are also not requiring users to pledge/pay akorns in advance. Since we are choosing only the two with the most backers (no purchase necessary), it would be a mess to make a shop product then have to refund everyone on the petitions that did not win. Events will instead be open to everyone and will be held the following month after the winning petitions.
