The fact that it's not the first time when I see companies who "own" the idol terrifies me. They can't even change their eyebrow shape without the company's agreement.

But the fact that it was made public, I believe the company thought it would be a nice marketing opportunity to get some spotlight for the group. Most probably there was an agreement between her and the company to end her contract, like "you will be free, and we will get some attention to the group".

Disappointing. How long has this YOURS project being going? Members are leaving like flies and I thought this company was very progressive. They had this lecture for their trainees about cultural appropriation. I guess that was just a media play to draw in international fans.
