What makes the Girl Planet 999 different from PRODUCE 101 ?

It literally looks exactly like Produce just with a different name, other ethnicities represented, and maybe slightly different voting/elimination system. Other than that it's exactly the same.

• Girls Planet 999 has 33 Korean, 33 Chinese, & 33 Japanese trainees
• The final group will have 9 members
• As of now, they’re put in “cells”, which is a trio of a Korean Chinese & Japanese girl. They make it together or get eliminated together
• International fans get to vote

Why are they in cells but the performances weren't in cells? Or is it for the next round?

Idk if it was only me but the pacing and yes the editing - except the previews for some reason - seems more tame and not as tacky as produce imo
