Are digitals needed to consider a group as a top group?

BGs have fanbase and can make millions even after peak in long term compared to ggs, where only selective few members have career after peak.

But still everyone wish to have gp recognition in own country, no matter what

So yeah digital matters , if u want to be S tier.

Not necessarily, they're nice to have but physicals and touring ensure a top group's standing more than digitals can.

Physicals/fandom brings money.

Digitals/GP brings recognition.

All forms of sales should be considered to crown a top group. Yes digital sales definitely are important, just as much as physical sales are important. I think what you are thinking is what is "more" important. That is a subjective matter and actually has no answer. What the company wants is "money". What the artist wants is "fame & money". Their path to that money can be either way.

at the end of the day it's the $$$$ in your bank account that matters more than charting at number 1 or selling 100K/a million albums
