2pm comeback: Make it #56 on melon 24hits and recorded their highest 1st day sales ever

their charting is great! I think it's the first jyp bg (besides band day6) to chart on melon 24hits

and their physical sales aren't bad either. 5 years of hiatus yet they did that!

iirc 2pm only surpassed 100k a few times, their best selling albums are in fact their japanese releases I think... jyp enver invested on creating a big fandom for them, thankfully this new album is outselling all their old korean ones

Junho is such a sexy figure and he should've been pushed from the start instead of Nichkhun. And that scandal really didnt help.

Taecyeon is popular but that popularity doesnt really translate into support for the group.

I think it does, both Taecyeon and Junho are bringing a lot of new fans to the group. Without Taec dramas and Junho viral fancam the hype would have been way less. They are doing good now on melon, keep rising with each hourly update and this might be their best selling physical album.

We never expected them to sell like SM older groups, instead like Highlight for example, since they have more things in common

And it's not sad. 2pm made money thanks to touring and cfs, so they never needed massive physical sales to survive. They earned a lot thanks to it. Remember cfs and Tokyo dome bring much more money than physical sales.

Ofc i was talking in the past sense, that despite not selling like other bgs they made tons of money. Now they can't tour but thankfully they got some new group and solo cfs just recently, and all the members are doing their own thing like acting, plus they got artistic freedom like Wooyoung writting the title track, jun. K working on the whole album, chansung directing the medley, etc so money is coming directly to their pocket without having to do the crazy schedules younger groups do.

I also hope this cb hits big so they can get even more opportunities. It was sad to read Chansung felt like the artist inside him was dying during military service. I'm glad they are out now and can enjoy themselves
