A German Youtuber called Rezo wanted to get the curent 2 top candidates for the next chancellor of Germany to hold a duell against eachother. Annalena Barbock of "Die Grünen" vs. Armin Laschet of "CDU"
Endresult: Armin Laschet said no, because the thing would be streamed on Youtube and Twitch so a broader audience and mainly younger people could watch it. But the thing is Armin Laschet said he doesn't takes part of the duell cause he dosn't wants to apear on 1) such websites and 2) he dosn't cares for mainly under 30 year old people.
Laschet also said this would only reflect Rezo as "the spokes person of the younger generation" and he simple does not care. On Twitter the most people curently write that Rezo never said that he would be a spokes person for the young people in Germany and that they simply hate the fact how Laschet said no to the duell.
I simple don't get how the politicians of many parties, especially CDU turn more and more against the younger generation like this. Really, in a few years when all the curently old people are dead I bet the CDU will have nobody that votes them anymore !
