Like I have kept in contact with a whole 2 TWO people I knew from school. I was bullied relentlessly and called all sorts of names of the disgusting variety because I refused to date most of my time in school and so they retaliated by starting rumors. Y'all did not like me and I do not like y'all but you want me to RSVP to an event in 2 years to sit with y'all for 8 hours and talk about High School?

The elementary school I go to was well very bad. I got bullied a lot there and the people there really affected my self esteem and twisted everything I said. I don't go to the same middle school as those elementary kids because I moved to another place. The school I am currently in is the in same district but so much nicer. They do reunions when you come back to the school after your high school graduation. I honestly don't want to go but I still might.
Well, on a bright note they prob matured a lot compared to when they were in HS. I don't know why anyone wants to go to those events unless your curious what happened to people or your trying to show off that you made it lol.

I do not have any desire to rehash childhood stuff tbh and I have never understood these events either unless you are wanting to try to "see if people are miserable" which is a huge huge problem in itself if you think that way 
Sorry that happened to you, that sounds like it sucks.
I couldn't go to mine because I moved to a different country, so it wasn't even an option. But it would have been nice to see everyone again. I've stayed in contact with a lot of people I went to high school with (some I've even known since elementary school). We had a lot of good times. Seeing some of them with grown ass children would have left me shooketh though.

Not for everyone but sometimes there will be a school bully who still tries to bully you even to adult hood and that is why I do not want to go to my reunion 
My cousin I mentioned had a opposite time in High School and she also kinda was the one who would try to fight the school bullies so 
Get you a friend who does not tolerate bullies and you will make it out fine 
And remember no one in High School's opinion will matter after high school
