You might not be racist, but what you said was problematic because it generalized many innocent people into the same category as a select few wrongdoers.
As a K-pop fan, you support Korean idols, many of whom definitely have some Chinese heritage somewhere down the line.
To the western world, all East Asians, Southeast Asians, and sometimes South Asians are categorized as the same and subjected to the same xenophobic attitudes. It’s simply harmful to use discriminatory language in regards to any Asian ethnic group.
