Keyeast terminated an exclusive contract with Jisoo, who got into a controversy due to suspicion of school violence.

As a result of the Star News coverage on the 27th, Keyeast and Jisoo recently cancelled their exclusive contracts and decided to walk their own path.

Keyeast announced that they signed an exclusive contract with Jisoo in October last year. Since then, Jisoo has been working under Keyeast.

It is reported that the controversy was the decisive factor for the termination. The two sides said they terminated the contract after consultation.

The controversy over the suspicion of Jisoo's SV arose in March. An online community posted a post alleging that Jisoo was an assailant of SV.

    1. Pay the money f*ck

    2. F*cking thugsㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ As expected like actor, like agencyㅋㅋㅋㅋ

    3. They will try to pull anything just to not pay the money, this is so low. Pay the money

    4. So he's basically retiring from the entertainment industry

    5. But what crime did Keyeast commit? It's not like they knew either

    6. Isn't Keyeast also a victim here? Do you think they signed a contract with Jisoo if they knew he did that before?

    7. Parting ways was obvious, but they need to pay back the money to River Where the Moon Rises

    8. Pay the money you thugs

    9. What about the money? The damage fee

    10. Ok, now pay the 3 billion to River Where the Moon Rises' production

  • Have not seen this coming at all :eyes:....

lol for real his career is over anyway, at least for now. It will be hard to get him roles. So there is no need in keeping the contract.

But why should the company pay money? I’m pretty sure they didn’t know about his past.

  • But why should the company pay money? I’m pretty sure they didn’t know about his past.

Tort law 101, employer must pay the victim in the behalf of the faulty employee if the employee is unable to pay the damage fee. The law is designed to help the victim get the damage fee.

And, no need to feel bad for Keyeast. I remember it did not drop Kim Hyun Joong after he was fined for DV. It is willing to keep anyone who can make profit regardless how shitty the person is.

  • Since the scandal started I was surprised that his company didn't end his contract, but I guess the contract didn't have a claim that allowed them to kick someone for a scandal.

Tbh, I think the company waited to see if they are going to be sued or if somehow they could run away from paying the penalty fees. I really don't feel any empathy for the company tbh, I remember I searched some days ago and I was surprised to see that Jisoo's picture was still there, but now it's gone. They really don't care about the imagine of their other's actors.

They or Jisoo should pay because all the staff struggled a lot and lost the show' popularity because of him. Also the actors had to work twice, which is not fair. Also, I hope he returned the payment.

On the other hand, I'm kinda not on the production' side either because they overworked the actors and lied the new actor, and he had to record everything in only 2 days. I read Na In-woo's interview and it was obvious that he regretted that he accepted the role because of the production.

In this scandal between the companies, I'm only felling sorry for the actors.
