Maybe they were not the same people? Plus, not being overtly enamored of a song doesn't mean hating it. You can think a group's previous song was not great and also think the new song is even worse. It's not outlandish. There's a lot of nuance that stans often ignore so they can indulge in the simplest narrative.

Yeah, these people exist too I guess. But they're not the only ones. Some had issues with BM and like NL. Some liked BM but have issues with NL. Some like both. Some like neither. Some fell into a category then switched to another, because they changed their minds or because they're hypocrites. Some stayed true to their first opinion. There's a whole range of people.
