H.O.T, S.E.S, G.O.D, Shinhwa, Sechskies, Click-B, Seo Taiji and the Boys, Deux, Turbo, Fin K.L, Baby VOX, NRG, JY Park, so many legendary artists. Thank you for starting this thread. I feel the 1st gen deserves so much more love from international netizens.

I'd technically call BoA second gen, but I guess that Valenti was more at the end of the first gen. 2001-03 was a fuzzy time in K-Pop history to define.

May 13th was the 20th anniversary of H.O.T's disbandment and marked the end of 1st gen.

It gets a bit fuzzy when artists cross generations. But nobody calls 2nd gen 3rd gen or 3rd gen 4th gen because they continued to make music in the next generation. But I guess the case for soloists is also different. I don't see anybody saying IU is 2nd gen.
