Honestly I do not have a problem with comeback goals because the purpose is literally to do better than the previous one, even some fans take it way too seriously, anyways I think the goals need to be realistic otherwise the fandom will be disappointed about something they knew it was not going to happen.

Recent examples I’m seeing:

1. EXO new MV to reach 30M views in 24 hours and other comeback goal is going around with 50M views. Their latest MV got less than 20M I know many are expecting the release but exols have never been good streamers 25M is more realistic but hopefully I’m wrong and they get the 30M initial goal, 50M is not happening tho.

2. Twice new album 750k preorders. Their previous album sold less than 600k, a jump of almost 200k hasn’t happen with Twice yet.

For Twice, I would agree that it's pretty unrealistic, since we're talking about sale.

For EXO, Youtube isn't the same as... two year and a half ago ? Like, 30M could happen imo.
