Did Source Music made mistake in the past with picking 'Apple' over 'Creme Brulee' as GFriend lead single?

NAAH, APPLE IS THE BEST EVER THING TO HAPPEN IN KPOP.

Apple is not among my favourite Gfriend's title tracks and I do think it lacks something but Crème Brûlée is the only b-side from this album that I don't like, I absolutely love the 4 other b-sides particularly Room of Mirrors and Eye of the Storm.

So no, I don't think choosing Crème Brûlée as the lead singer would have been a better idea.

And even if I like the other b-sides much better than Apple, I don't think picking one of them as the lead title would have been a good decision either, I think it was a good idea to go for something completely different from Crossroads.

Nope, still Apple. Creme Brulee is the most out of place track of the entire album.

I don't like Apple, but Crème Brûlée is not a title track song either to me.

What I think they should have done is picking Labyrinth for the lead title instead of crossroads for Labyrinth album and then for Song of sirens maybe picking Eye of the Storm instead of Apple.

Apple remains one of the most underrated songs. The concept, the direction, the lyrics, the costume,etc. were really something top-notch.

No, the biggest mistake is crossroads. Apple is just fine being the title track eventhough I don’t really like it that much

My problem with Apple is that it was horribly mixed. The music was jarring and it was right up front competing with the vocals. I really dislike it.

The one you linked above sound nice but it still has the cheap sounding music which doesn't fit the song. It's like their recordings were done and then a Big Hit sound engineer popped up and went "Stand back and let me show you what the kids like these days!"

I like Gfriend for refreshing soft concepts (Mago and Fingertip are exceptions). I don't want the equivalent of a music migraine from them.

Every other song from the album would have better a better choice than Apple. However you have to think on the intention of the comeback and how it connects to the lore that they have been developing for years. When I thought of that I ended up accepting Apple was the best choice around that time
