Has "its" ever confused you?

Not really, I always tend to check its vs it's when I'm writing though

Yes.

A noun or pronoun use "'s" to show possession. "It" can be a pronoun so you'd think "'s" could also show possession. Nope that would be "its" and it's is like you said "it is".

In school I used to confuse the 2 regularly so I used it's most of the because usually it was the right one to use lol

let me give you an example from mine: "gore gore gore gore" means "up there the mountains burn worse". all gore's are slightly differently pronounced but to foreign ear, they sound the same.

my issue with english is the spelling that has no rules whatsoever.
