• In the beginning of Produce 101 Japan season 1 people were calling Ren out as "The next Kang Daniel" after he centered the themesong-MV and was very noticible with his blonde dyed hair giving the viewers Daniel-vibes. Nobody knew that day that Ren knew Kang Daniel in real life. Simply said he was background dancer for WANNA ONE before
• As PENTAGON's Hui wrote a Japanese song, he wasn't too sure who to give it to, cause he didn't wanted to use it for his group. He than remembered he knows Ren since he was background dancer for PENTAGON once and since Ren is in a group now he gave the song to JO1
• Ren used to work as dance teacher before so he said that if he debuts, he will post a dance tutorial of their debut song onto Youtube. Ren took the time and posted 3 videos about the whole dance wich take in total over 1 hour to watch
