Meanwhile two years in to third gen, both Exo & Twice had already exploded & re defined the standards already.
Two years in to second gen, TVXQ were already legendary & SNSD had just exploded.
What's hindering fourth gen is the third gen imho. Mainly bts. And blackpink. Their presence is overwhelming & simply over shadowing the fourth gen. So simply it's their fault that itzy & txt sre stuck where they started.
BTS and Blackpink did not explode the second the arrived, they worked up their presence to where they are now. It takes time to breed a truly amazing group. Nothing just pops out of nowhere. Success takes work and as of right now, TXT and ITZY are considered leaders of 4th gen. So they doing good. You just have to give them time. It took two years for BTS to win their first music show. Blackpink did not get international recognition the second they arrived. So you see what I mean. Success takes time.
It has become a daily routine on this forum to remind 4th gen groups' stans that their favs are flop

No. TXT are doing much better now than they were at debut. Don't follow ITZY enough to speak on them. But TXT's sales are rising, and fast.
Plus there is no need for a national hit to be released.
But you're right that with BTS (and several other 3rd gen groups) still rising many years after debut, all 4th gen groups have it harder to break out.

TXT are flop,yes, so please help stream Crown to 100M in Spotify 
ITZY and TXT are growing alot though? Are TXT not one of two groups to chart a Japanese album on BB200? Did Wannabe not go viral literally last year?
But I agree that groups like BTS and BP are overshadowing them. These groups are already established, so the GP are only really focusing on them. It doesn't help that ITZY/TXT debuted only a few months before the Burning Sun scandal, which is probably the main reason why KPOP as a whole is a flop among the GP.
