Why did America not take to SNSD and Twice?

America allows "artists" like Danielle Bregoli to become famous.

Maybe because America doesnt like BOPs?

SNSD's is more likely to their concept, member count, and K-Pop still being a niche when they started pushing US traction. 2NE1 was never that big in the US (they have lots of international fans in their prime though but it's still mostly in SEA)
TWICE is never meant to cater the US. They're focused on the Asian market and that's their biggest strength. ITZY is what JYP is grooming for the US IMO

Who is Danielle Bregoli? I live in the U.S and I don't know her.

That little girl who was on Dr. Phil and got famous for mouthing off to him and her mother on live TV. She then became a "rapper" now known as Bhad Bhabie. America makes some of the dumbest people famous.

Blackpink has a more Hiphop-ish sound, which really caters to the American demographic. While there are many Americans including myself who like, or appreciate cute concepts, I don’t think that it’s something that is common in the American music market. I hope on day is it though. I wish to see all groups get their big break in America!

Lol, Sssniper Wolf was right, Dr.Phil does make careers. If you come on Dr.Phil there is a chance that you will get famous for the most random things But normal people don't usually know them, the only Dr.Phil I see is from Sssniper Wolf because that is good content.

Not even about "cute concept" or not like some people keep repeating. It's literally about genres, hip hop is popular in the u.s and west in general. But clearly it is not the only thing you have to do for some western impact considering bp are still the only ones actually doing relevant numbers

On the other side, cute concept sells hella lot of albums because Asian men love girls who act cute and love cute concept more than any other concept. I never understood why Asian men like women/teenage girls speak like a five year old.

The funny thing is that I once saw a video talking about how she and Bellie Elish were friends and started their career together or something. Correct me if I am wrong because I don't know them. (I like three of BE songs but don't understand her image tbh)

Their music is the answer, although lately TWICE music got better.

was 2ne1 more popular than snsd in america? they both seemed like nugus compared to how big bp is and how bp is actually trying to enter that market.
A bit, definitely not like the huge gap between Blackpink and Twice. I mean Blackjacks back then pride themselves in seeing 2NE1 on MTV Iggy or something. Which is kinda weird lol, since Soshi was also on Letterman. 2NE1 sold 5000 copies of their Crush album first week while Soshi-TTS sold 3000 copies. There was no real gauge on western popularity back then except a few fan polls. Both didn't have any touring in the west, there was no data on streaming.
So yeah they were both nugu especially when we see what Blackpink achieved now lol.
