If ARMY really sees Hobi as the Dance Leader, why does ARMY praise Jimin more?

Hobi and Jimin are skilled in different types of dancing. Hobi is specialised in underground street dancing while Jimin is specialised in contemporary dancing. I think it is impossible to say which one is better since they have different dance styles. But I like Hobi's dancing more cuz if the swagness. But Jimin's flexibility and fluidity is amazing too! I think people see Hobi's dancing as taken for granted.

some army's might choose Hobi as the better dancer and other army's might choose Jimin. it all comes down to preference. if you prefer hip-hop dancing, Hobi will be up your alley. but if you prefer contemporary, ballet, etc, Jimin is more your style. the thing is, Hobi and Jimin dance differently. if you like ballet dancing, you'll watch and support more ballerinas. in terms of skill, i think most people would choose Hobi with Jimin in second. some army's would just choose Jimin because of his dancing style. i mean, ballet/contemporary is pretty f*cking hard. feel free to disagree with me.

Hobi and Jimin both hold the official position of main dancer from debut. They both have their own set of skills and excel in it. Hobi is elder than Jimin and he probably fits better into the role of dance leader cause he certainly possesses very clear leadership skills as has been apparent over the years. Jimin has a more vocal fanbase like the rest of maknae line so you probably hear them more, talking about Jimin's dance.

Regarding who is a better dancer, I think those who are technically trained in dance would be better suited to answer.

ermm I don't think anyone is saying that Jimin is a better dancer. BTS dance line is just too great, Hobi is obviously #1. Jimin and JK imo are tied @ #2 imo.

Hobi is more praised than Jimin outside the fandom whereas inside the fandom, Jimin stans are loudest. For many years, Jimin wasn’t even acknowledged as a main dancer by his own fandom, there was this narrative that he was a lead dancer and in spite of being a Jimin stan and an early BTS stan, I believed it for a while.

Hobi as a whole is not underrated but under appreciated. He is way too talented for the recognition that he gets.

I think maybe the fact that Jimin is more a contemporary/ballet dancer makes him stand out more for some fan ? In my mind they are both just as skilled, and they are both main dancers.

honestly its because jimin has more solo stans who are loud. like i saw many threads on twitter praising hobi's dancing that were hated by jimin's solo stans unprovoked. i feel like they dont even stan jimin and just want to hate on bts members.

also the past few comebacks jimin is given more opportunities to showcase his dancing (which is understandable because contemporary is his forte) so you can see more praises for him. maybe if they have a hiphop song next cb hobi will be center again. but i do hope bighit will be able to showcase more of hoseok's dancing, he's so talented i feel like they dont utilize it enough

Very true. With Black Swan especially, which is pretty much seen as a masterpiece by everyone. Since this is kinda 'Jimin's song', and that he has a solo in this song, he stood out a lot. Which... good for him, Black Swan is LEGIT a masterpiece

But please let's not turn this thread into a Jimin VS Hobi thing. I danced for ten years, and I can tell you that they are both crazy talented, they just don't have the same formation/style.

They have different stroke and styles. It will come down to preferences but both are commendable.

Both are main dancers and both are equally equipped for the roles in their different styles it all depends on which style you prefer.

can't really compare them since their styles are so different and they both excel in their own style.

And for praise, from what I have seen, it feel like Jhope gets more praise in terms of dance in general.
