I'm actually starting to see why ADP gets criticism as a group.

    And before anyone starts screaming about nepotism, no that's not what I'm talking about so leave that at the door.


    I'm talking about their group synergy. They absolutely do not perform like a group should and seem more like 5 soloists that thrive in completely different styles asked to collab together. This became very obvious to me just now when, for the first time since its release, I listened to "Look at me" well. Not listened. I watched the studio choom performance of it.


    Not even 20secs into the video and I could already observe the visible energy imbalance between each member. With Tarzzan going all out for whatever reason, to Annie doing the bare minimum, to Youngseo not going too hard while also not doing too little, to Woochan (main rapper btw) being the only one with a semblance of properly distributed energy to finally Bailey who seems to be struggling between her full potential and matching her members' lackluster performance ability in comparison to hers.


    I could give an in-depth analysis but that would be called nitpicking so I'm leaving this here as I go on an indefinite hiatus of my own. (We're twinning Yama-Chan )

    Most 2nd gen groups are like that.

    The "group synergy" trend started at 3rd gen.

    For me it's that for the hype and money poured into the group you expect them to be more .... capable.


    You would think that if you are trying to give of the "I am better than all you bitches" vibe you should at least have the skills and talent to back it up but all they have is justified negative controversy that seems like they deliberately made themselves

    You can say this about a lot of big4 groups, specially the 4th and 5th gen ones.

    I doubt TBL has more money to invest in ADP than any big4 company.

    Their concept being confidence isn't so absurd to be criticized so much, it's just a "ops moment" to drag them.

    That's a YGE/Teddy thing, he won't change it when since BB this goes right in SK and some parts of the kpop community.

    It's Teddy signature concept. The same way others companies have a certain image that you can see in various groups.

    2NE1 never gave of the vibe they were better than everyone else.


    And even if they did, they had the stage presence to back it up. Same for BB and BP.


    Can't say the same for ADP unless you are telling me their stage presence are on the level of those groups when they debuted then ermmm....ok I guess you win

    Of course all YGE groups including winner, iKon, treasure and baemon have this concept, ALL.

    I enjoy ADP performances, I don't need them to be on BB level bc then I would have to drop kpop all together, specially in this gen where so many groups sucks performance wise or vocal wise in live performances.

    i’d say only mino tho and his solos in particular and we all know how he was trying to be gd 2.0. but if you see their whole image as a group, they are def not the we’re better than anyone else typical yge style. not like ikon where it was so obvious. that’s also why i think yhs preferred ikon over winner :tea-bee:

    This time, I don't disagree with you, BUT there's a big difference with ADP. They're not close to other YG group as a whole, not even Blackpink level.


    Like others said, as a group they don't match, like, at all. Some of them have potential or decent skills, but as a group, they're forced, to say the least.


    What sells this groups is not their skills (like with Bigbang for example), it's their popularity and concept, and negative PR.


    ADP is basically the Temu version of Bigbang.

    I think people are way too critical of a rookie group. They're performing fine for a group that's only been around for like 6 months. I am not shocked if there are some chemistry issues because there's moments where you can tell they haven't trained with one another for a long period. It makes sense because Bailey and Annie most likely had more training time with Meovv than ADP members.

    They are rookies, some didn't train long enough with each other.

    They aren't a temu version of BB, this is disrespectful, act your age.

    In general, they have more experience than a lot of groups. Especially Woochan and Bailey. Not as a whole group, sure, but didn't they say they trained for years? I don't see people making excuses for other rookies.

    That's the point, you don't like their performances, etc so don't watch, go watch groups you like and think are good.

    I don't compare, they are all produced by the same producer, they give off YGE vibes, and I didn't say they were better than any YGE group.
