If Hitchhiker becomes the head producer for NewJeans will you stick around?

  • Tbh I love njz concept and their tremendous success was bc of their songs so either they stay in the same direction njz already was or "upgrade" it, but hopefully they don't try to katseye/lsfrmed them with weird songs, choreos, concepts, as each group has their own strength so stick with something that will make them stand out their good points.

  • On the Irregular repackage, you get a 250 track (My Van) immediately followed by a Hitchhiker one (Interlude: Regular to Irregular), which is pretty funny.

250's best work on a sonic level was with NJZ. By a distance. Hitchhiker's made some good songs, he's definitely good producer sonically. I don't think he's going to be the problem (if there is a problem), it's the guidance and feedback given by the A&R imo. Along with whatever composers/top-liners he's paired with. If they expect him to be composing NJZ songs all on his own, then, yeah, I guess that is a worry.

  • Of course willing to listen if it's OT5. If quality isn't there, then their songs wouldn't be on my playlists. I'm willing to listen to every release I can, and if I don't like song. Then I will move on.

  • My heart wants to follow OT5 no matter what, but I know if the songs are really bad they’ll start to lose their shine. I am worried because Hitchhiker comes across as a bad imitation of Diplo from what I’ve heard. It seems stupid that Ador wouldn’t work with 250 and FRNK again.

I think the issue is they're most likely loyal to MHJ. I guess money talks, but I highly doubt they're going to work for current Ador

I admire their loyalty if that really is enough to have them turn down work, but they are both freelancers, and NewJeans is one of the most high profile gigs you could get (and probably one of the best paying).

If they're not working with NewJeans in the future, I'm going to chalk that up to Ador not offering it to them, rather than them turning it down.

I hear you but it could be one of those things where they feel indebted to her. Also, they might be working with her with her new company OOAK. Plus, I think their previous work can allow them to work with other high profile acts.

Unsure if you're familiar with Fujii Kaze but 250 produced his latest album. He's a major act and I'm sure 250 and Frnk can get other high profile collaborations. So, they might not need to work with NewJeans to make serious bank.

I guess we'll have to see how loyal they are to MHJ, but I'm banking on them being loyal to her and not working with Ador unless MHJ gives them her blessings.

yeah exactly, they became two of the most famous producers in kpop from their time working with NJ. They don't need to work for Ador at all anymore. Maybe they do still like the girls and want to work with them, but in 250's case especially I'd be surprised if that happened. It seems he's super close with MHJ.
