I really enjoyed the film and I would be happy for sequels or even a series, but a live action adaptation isn't really necessary. I'm not saying it wouldn't be decently successful or have its fans, but in all likelihood, as is with most live action adaptations, it would be carried by the power of the fandom generated by the original, instead of standing on it's own merits. Outside of the music, one of the film's strongest aspects is the animation. Sony Pictures Animation really did their thing, flexing all of the experience they've built recently. The animation style is vibrant and distinct, and the character designs, despite being relatively simple, are effective because they are easily recognisable, pleasing to the eye, and fit seamlessly and appropriately within the world being depicted. I've also seen many people discuss the film's genius and charm of blending traditional 3D animation with the overexaggerated expressions found in anime. This approach seemed to resonate with many, especially in the animation and art community. Taking this element out of the now proven formula just doesn't seem wise. You risk losing all of this added charm going down the live action route.
Now, if none of these things come to pass, at the very least, I wouldn't mind an extended cut that addresses the issues with character development and pacing. Personally, the pacing wasn't that big of an issue for me, but I would definitely like to see more depth added to Mira and Zoe. I know many also complain about the Saja Boy's having little to no character, but I think they served their purpose ultimately. Their mere existence drove the plot forward, and their apparent lack of character or motivations helped distinguish that Jinu, even after 400 years of servitude, was indeed different from the others who were completely under Gwi-Ma's thrall.

Live action would be horrendous. It absolutely never works out.

Live action is sus but Netflix did kinda cook with the OP live action.
I think at least a sequel was pretty much expected with the success it has seen. Knowing Netflix, they are gonna milk this cow until we all hate the franchise. I do have some faith in Sony Animation though.

THAT POWER!
are we for the demons or for the Hunters?!
Maybe the sequel should focus on the demon side of things!

The new plot will be that HUNTR\X needs to go international and save Honmoons from other parts of the world (you know with the Westernization of KPOP and all)
And they found out that another group of demon hunters are also doing the same, but however they are secretly absorbing the demon powers for themselves instead of straight up killing the demons so they are EVIL DEMON HUNTERS
They be like WATCH ME DONT TOUCH ME LOVE ME DONT HATE ME

Depends, I mean, some japanese live action of manga are good. But in this case I guess it would not work at all. (have not seen the movie)
