I don't get why YG doesn't just let them show off how strong their fanbase is. I mean, they are on/just finished a world tour, no? You need fans to sell a world tour and they already have that.

There is absolutely no need to waste money on ads on a consistent basis and especially in regard to an artist that doesn't need it at the moment, seeing as it isn't a full comeback.

I understand what both of you are saying and I agree because you're right.

However, my point is not that utilizing ads to promote a group is this abominable offense. Almost all companies (even outside of kpop) utilize this and this is including my faves.

I just hate when companies use it to an excessive amount because if its used so often (for example, 44mil+ in two weeks in this case), its a nobrainer how its effectiveness can actually decrease at some point when consumers feel they are being bombarded (aka, adblockers). And it can also have negative impact consumer engagement with the group.

And this is kpop.

Most big companies that use this don't do so to promote the group, they use it to inflate the views. I'm almost certain of this. And again, there's nothing wrong with that but still, it gets to a point and I'm just expressing my dislike at how consistent that point has been exceeded (not even with YG alone), is all.
