Who is more legendary: Spotify, Korean Charts or Touring?

  • Touring numbers can be manipulated though. The same rabid fans could be traveling across the country to watch the group perform (see SQ, the Twice fan on YT). So a tour that gets 100k attendance in the US could actually be only 50k individuals.

Also, look at all the alleged games that can be played to inflate touring numbers. You could drop prices to microscopic levels or literally give the tix away with 2 for 1 deals or "win free tix" events to fill seats, giving the illusion of popularity.

"Only". that's not manipulation, that's called being rich and lucky to get two dates. There's no way half of attendees can afford two expensive tickets, especially not in this economy and dynamic pricing. But even if they could that's again real people. But they couldn't.

As for 2nd point; everyone knows when tickets were given away. there's no issue there because you cannot hide it with social media and internet.

You think 50k fans are travelling around all the US states paying for tickets for all the tour dates, I'm sorry but I don't think the average kpop fan is that rich

except, you donkey, those fans have still PAID for each ticket regardless.

I've done this. Went to multiple shows for a group. And at each one I bought the premium VIP tickets, the merch AND the individual photo shoot meet and greets.

So THIS rabid fan easily pumped over $1000AUD into that group while attending multiple shows.

    It's STILL money.

All i could read here is that you're rich :p

But now for real. Kpop groups aren't visiting Easter Europe for a reason: there's no way someone is paying that kind of money for concert tickets.

  • SQ is a lawyer who earns a six-figure salary. Not everyone can travel like him, who attends every TWICE North American concert. Unless you imply that 50% of us are all that wealthy. Even SQ can't get into every TWICE Japan concert since it is only a membership lottery.

A kpop fan/YouTube channel theultimatedodo has been on gazillion kpop concerts. They didn't miss a single bts concert. I assume that they or someone else close to them works for ticketmaster/live nation given that they are always close to stage and it's perfect for filming. There's no way they are lucky to get concerts tickets for every single concert. They are obviously rich, they have money to travel all over the us. But there is nobody like them, they are the exception.

  • I actually have more dollars than sense

Funniest part is I've met people at these concerts that spend WAY more than me

Like the Chinese Dreamcatcher fans/fansite operators. Money everywhere.

It's your/their money, you/they can do whatever they want with it. You aren't bots, you are real people who pay for being there. Everyone who can get tickets for more than one show is lucky. You're not going to concert to inflate numbers, you go to have a good time watching your faves.

    BPH's take is really strange.

Also a free/$10 digital music subscription that can be bot’d is not even remotely comparable to fans spending hundreds or even thousands of dollars traveling across cities/countries to see groups

Might be the dumbest argument I’ve seen on AKP yet 😭
