New Jeans removed as the Model for the Incheon National Airport, but was replaced by someone significantly older

New Jeans was the model of Incheon International Airport

But after all of the mess around it, the airport, Korea's largest, removed it from the position to replace it over the entire world.

However, the choice of model to replace New Jeans seems to be rather questionable.

The replacement is at least 11 (actually 1,331) years older than the oldest member of New Jeans

BlackPink was its model for 5 years until 2024, when New Jeans replaced it

And now the airport replaced NJ with someone older than both BlackPink and New Jeans

That shows how bankrupt Kpop was in the last 10 years - it is a never ending merry go around, BlackPink, New Jeans and someone significantly older than that, with no newer act having the room to enter

Only aespa would have been available anyways - IVE a close second, and all the other acts would not have the 'sway' to be put in there

However it is strange that they had to go to someone born in last century to do that.

Apparently it was a toss up between IU and Wonyoung , but after Wonyoung there would be no successors so I think they decided to go with IU this time and Wonyoung next time.
