[enter-talk] Why are there so many weird concepts with female Idols lately?

I don't think any of these are weird, honestly.

This all sounds like they're complaining just to complain.

I am happy groups are coming up with more original concepts rather than imitating what's popular. I thought Illit was wise to go with their concept to put to bed they're imitators.

Because they're fun. Being weird is the whole point of kpop.

I do hate Soyeon's haircut. So much.

I think it's a good thing that there is a variety of different concepts and ideas - not all of them are going to work but at least they are trying

If you go for long straight hair and an innocent look, they say you're copying NewJeans. If you go for a fierce vibe, it's aespa. If everyone goes blonde, it's i-dle. If you use wine red, it’s Red Velvet. Because of all this, groups are starting to go for more and more confusing concepts

At some point, everyone was copying NewJeans and going for "easy listening" songs. That's why everyone suddenly started trying to diverge and go for all sorts of weird concepts and are now getting bashed for this too. But I believe that we need more variety for the industry to evolve
