Repent your sins for God is coming soon

  • Is this some sort of outreach plan? Like go on every site that has forums and create something like this? Or did you come on a kpop forum and be like 'You know what this place needs? A place to repent for your sins?" What religion are you exactly? Christian or Catholic or something else? Just curious.

  • Yeah, in a way. Catholics are technically Christians but Christians aren't Catholics. I was just wondering because in the church I grew up in, Christian and Catholic were very very different.

Not "in a way". Catholics are Christians, Eastern Orthodoxy followers are Christians, Coptic Orthodoxy followers are Christians., etc. Those churches are thousand years old. American protestants call themselves Christians as if they own the word but they don't.

I only meant 'in a way' that yes, Catholics are Christians but Christians aren't Catholics

I only meant it that it doesn't go both ways

  • amen

    but are you being serious?

and also its God wit a capital in your title

    I am a Christian

This is valid to your denomination or lack of as well. All Catholics are Christians the same way Evangelicals, Orthodox, Protestants, Nestorians, and so on are.

The way you write "technically Christian" is a little disingenuous to Catholics or other sects of Christianity. They are as valid as yours even if they look pretty different. When I was Presbyterian, we would also say similar stuff to Catholics or other groups we consider less or false Christian groups. Some within our group who were more Baptists than Presbyterians considered the Catholic church the scarlet harlot.

You should say "Not all Christians are Catholic". It looks the same as "technically Christians but Christians aren't Catholics", but the first way is just saying there are lot of other Christian groups besides Catholics than the way you wrote that has this insinuation of them not being as Christian or not at all. Of course it may not be your original intention, but that's how we grew up within the religion, to look down on other denominations in a very subtle way.

    Yes I understand that

I'm atheist so I kind of look down on all religion but I wasn't trying to sound judgmental
