Is Belift the same thing as Hybe/Big Hit or an entity of its own?

So basically, Belift was originally a joint company between Big Hit (which is now Hybe) and CJ ENM, the Mnet people. They teamed up to create I-Land and debut ENHYPEN.

But after some behind-the-scenes issues (kind of a falling out), CJ ended up pulling away. Big Hit/Hybe took full control of Belift, and it’s now more like a little branch of Hybe. It’s still technically its own company, but it grew out of Hybe’s system, like a seedling from the main tree.

Meanwhile, groups like Pledis and Source Music, they were always their own companies at first and only later got brought under Hybe through acquisitions. Belift is a little different because it wasn't an outside company Hybe bought; it’s more like something they co-created, and now fully own.

As far as Big Hit...Big Hit was originally a small independent company founded by Bang Si-hyuk. They started with artists like BTS, and after BTS blew up, Big Hit grew massively and later rebranded into a bigger umbrella company called Hybe. Now Big Hit is just one label under Hybe, mainly focused on managing BTS and TXT.
