I guess the other thing to add is that social media is an echo chamber where the algorithm will give you more of the same (and not necessarily the good same) since division and negativity get so much more traction than positivity
Same as AKP really - you post a positive thread or an appreciation thread about a group or idol and you will barely hit page 2 - you make a thread stating " OMG NJ is over - who should we move on to " and the fighting will stop for the next week!!!

I don't go there anymore.
It seems to have turned into a site that is designed for people to argue, as it makes them come back constantly to continue some moronic "battle" or "war."
Life is honestly much nicer without that site that is designed to breed negativity towards others.
People don't realize yet they're being played in that way to keep coming back.
Agreed, I don’t go there much anymore except to follow my work posts. I follow my favorites but don’t look at the reply messages anymore. There is hate all over, Facebook is just as bad now. It’s truly sad.

No offense to you, but "fighting" on Twitter is absolutely useless and frankly ridiculous.
It's not actual people fighting for a cause but a bunch of idiots (of all fandoms) typing insults furiously on their screens to each other and insulting idols, thinking they're on some kind of revenge quest. It's pathetic and literally does nothing except make other losers even madder so they will....type furiously on their screens. It's not a brave fight to defend people's homeland or something. It's just a bunch of idiots typing insults.
The best thing to do is not use that website and instead interact in a more normal way with people.
That website seems to be set up to get people to fight about anything (politics, fanwars of all kinds, even things like what cat pic is better), so they'll keep coming back to continue the "fight" (which again, is no fight, but a bunch of weirdos typing).
Not saying forums are or have always been perfect, but at least some people do other stuff there than typing furiously on screens at each other and thinking they're on some kind of Crusade.
