If you like makjang (really dramatic and tense plots), with romance/real life issues etc, I recommend penthouse. It's currently one of the most popular dramas in Korea but doesn't seem to have that large of an audience internationally ~

I’ll recommend some of my favourites that goes with what you like.

Mother - It’s a remake of the Japanese movie helming the same name. It’s about a young girl being abused by her Mother and Lee Boyoung is an elementary school teacher who takes matters into her own hands with a bunch of twists and turns. It’s so freakin sad and has my favourite Korean actress, Lee Boyoung.

Dodo sol sollala sol - Is such a cute drama. I honestly really enjoyed it and never once skipped through the episode lol. If you can ignore the age gap then you will enjoy it.

Into The Ring - Nana’s acting is really good here. It’s a feel good drama and the leads chemistry will make you blush.

Hospital Playlist - This drama is another cute one and makes you want to have them as your friends. They’ve been close friends since grad school and are now Doctors working in the same hospital. They share their love for music together and showcase different problems and situations they go through.

Pegasus Market - Underrated by international fans but is one of my top recommendations

if you want a good laugh. The crazy father in Sky Castle is in here too but from a wonderful cast, the casts chemistry to the script being well written shows how great this drama is and why it’s one of my favourites.

Graceful Family - Shit is crazy. If you love messy, rich family problems with romance too than this is for you

Im Soo Hyang plays the pretty female lead she was... chefs kiss* in this drama.
