Obviously with multiple groups headlining Coachella, Jeansapalooza, chungha doing Head In The Clouds, etc. its clear that western promotions are finally something that Kpop has normalized. That being said, I would say that NPR’s tiny desk concerts are really my personal favorite live performances. I like the acapella aspect, songs being arranged in a new way, the crowd work, the intimacy, the clearly live vocals… it all got me thinking, who in kpop would really thrive in this setting?
