Does that mean teddy is not part of the "team"? Does that mean we are gonna have more than 8 songs this time?

Teddy isn't part of YGE anymore, and yes it can be good news, because Teddy lost his touch a LONG time ago! Way before BP. Based on what YG did with Babymon, it can be better for BP, but no, I can't see them having 8 songs, they won't have more than 3!

Why? Because making a full-album takes a whole year, or more. Making an EP with 4-8 songs is at least half a year, and a Single with 3 songs is just a couple of months, and YG said, BP's new cb is May. Not that I believe him, but if BP will have a World Tour this year, their new album has to be released before the summer.

A lot of the work on a full album can be performed before the vocals are recorded. If everything's been started and all the songs need are the vocals, those can be recorded in one to three weeks. Then they can select a title track and a secondary title track, make the videos, and be ready by May.

Sure, and even if BP or any artist doesn't have to do much other than singing, it's still a LOT of work! If they only established a crew for them now, it means they didn't do anything yet.

In YG's case, I'm almost 100% sure they didn't make any song, they will just buy from other producers and will make some adjustments. Unless they already have a couple of songs that were made for others, they won't release a full-album. The writing of the lyrics is what takes the longest. Even you're a company like YG with the most basic lyrics.😂

IF all 4 members can have at least 1 month of free time (99% of the time it's not the case), they can record a full-album in that window, but that's just the recording. They need to find the concept, the songs that fit into that concept, find available songs if they don't want to make new ones from scratch, doing the usual rework on the songs, then the recording with the artists, the mastering etc, and then comes the promotion and the other things.

Like I said, it's a lot of work and it always takes months! You can find a lot of article or interview with Kpop Idols talking about how long does it take to make albums from start to finish.

This is from an interview with Wheein of Mamamoo, and she's talking about her Full-Album as a soloist!

    Quote

“The recording period was twice as long as that of a mini album. The additional recording process also took some time and the entire process of preparing for the album took a really long time,” - Wheein said in a recent interview with ABS-CBN News. [ SOURCE ]

  • watch them come out with 11

Mate, if YG gives them 11 song, I will retire from AKP! 🤣

YG never released an album for BP that had more than 8 songs, not even for Babymonster. They had an album last year with 8 songs also, plus a remix, but that doesn't count!

To be fair, only HYBE and YG can release an EP with 8 songs and call it a Full-Album, but Source Music even worst, they said GFriends comeback is an Album with 2 songs. As a Buddy, I don't know if I should laugh or cry. 😂
