Who is currently in a better position between Gidle and Lsf, and which group has the bigger fanbase?

I came across a fan war between these two groups so it got me thinking. Gidle fans are saying they’re doing better in Korea and China, while LSF fans are flexing their Spotify stats and US Hot 100 achievements.

So, what do you think matters more? Which group do you think is in a better position right now, technically in the 4th rank after Nj-Ae-Ive? Both groups dominate in different areas. It's KR+CN vs JP+US to me. Which combination do you think will work better in the long term? And which fanbase you think more bigger?

  • Unless I am totally off lsf should be easily able to tour as good as gidle already even tho they are much younger group. I hope lsf at last does tokyo dome in 2025. It's high time. And obviously other bigger venues too.

  • Hmmm, this is a complex question. Idle has hit their ceiling and lsf hasn't reached their ceiling yet. The major difference between the two is lsf has Hybe to back them who has a much further reach than Cube. gidle wasn't supposed to be as big as they are today, but here we are. I think they're about equal in position and it matters more what do you value more.

Correct me if I am wrong

(G)I-DLE are in a better position in Korea, China, and I assume SEA due to Minnie

Le Sserafim are in a better position in Japan, Europe, and North America.

I think if both groups announce a world tour they'll both be sold out . I think in North America LSF can play in bigger arenas than Idle, which gives them the slight advantage. Plus, with Hybe push they will get more opportunites which will always put them in a better position. I think if Idle was a part of a bigger company they wouldn't have the same freedom but if they did they would be bigger than they currently are

I think to answer this is what does a person value more to determine who is in a better position. My answer to this will be lsf due to not reaching their ceiling yet and have a big company backing them. Lastly, based on social media engagement I assume lsf fanbase is currently bigger, but I am mostly viewing that living in the Anglosphere

  • LSFM debuted 4 years later, the comparison is weird even if they're considered to be in the same gen.

G-Idle has done everything they had to do, they're a 7 year old group that has just renewed their contract and they've done 3 world tours if I'm not wrong. It's also obvious they're past their peak like most groups are after 7 years. Soyeon has the credits of their songs including several hits unlike most groups so their position is even more complicated to compare if we talk about the money they're making. And finally we don't even know if they're going to be as active as before, hopefully not but maybe they just have a couple of comebacks left... We can't really be sure.

LSFM on the other hand still have most of their career in front of them, we don't even know their potential or if they're going to repeak or not. Considering the support of Hybe fandoms I think they've more or less guaranteed success in the US and they're going to be able to tour there with great numbers for a gg, but apart from that they still have to prove so many things before comparing them with G-Idle.
