Jisoo drama situation, my two cents in this mess

First let me say that I side with koreans IF in the drama their democratic fight will be make fun of. We don't joke about such sad times full of blood and innocent people dying just to be treated as human beings!! And I'm saying this in general about any country as it is insensitive to bring their history and fights in a comedy type

I was really excited and happy for Jisoo. She is getting the opportunities she deserves and I thought she was finally going to be made a priority within YGE, but this whole situation turned into a nightmare to me.

Jtbc is being super vague about their storyline so I don't know if this will be good or not. Let's just hope they will be sensitive enough to respect their own history!

I hate how this situation turned into JISOO/YGE fault when ??? She auditioned and got her paper full honestly. And she is just the lead actress, she didn't invent the history neither is part of producing the drama so why is she being hated this much? Why her name is the only one being thrown under the bus? Why kpop fans who surprisingly doesn't like BP are acting as saints and calling her of all names? WHY AGAIN IS A WOMAN WHO TAKING THE BLAME OF SOMETHING WE DON'T EVEN KNOW IF ITS RIGHT OR WRONG?

People really calling her dumb, anti korean, chinese (as if this is an insult), money chaser and many worse things as if she created the history herself???

What i can't understand is why this mess is affecting Jisoo, an innocent person. Truly disgusting how some people are behaving in this situation and sad how even some blinks are trying to sabotage her career, yes, it's her career, bc if you guys think it will be easy to Jisoo to find another job after even her fans turned their back to her.... She will be super sad and even guilty.

Anyways, i hope jtbc and the staffs behind this drama don't mess up with the storyline and I hope Jisoo find strength after this which hunt!

She deserves her spotlight and she deserves better fans!

This was long, but this is my opinion and I'm more concerned with Jisoo career than with some hypocrites words (antis)!

There's a suspicion JTBC is reshooting the story to be less "edgy", which may be why they're quiet on the storyline when it would obviously benefit them to just be open about it with a short synopsis.

I also think they are reshooting a lot of scenes tbh, but even then I'm worried bc they really can't mess up their whole history just for a drama....

Now, as the lead actress, should she be criticised for taking part in Snowdrop if the drama turns out to be as insensitive as people are fearing? Maybe.

But like someone said above, scripts are changed constantly during production. Idk if contract would have permitted her to easily step out if she wanted to.

As for JTBC's statement. Coupling a black comedy with such a tragic period of Korean history is problematic. JTBC should have been clearer upfront with the synopsis or at least announced they'd be working with professionals/historians.

That would help to avoid any controversial/insensitive content in the actual drama, while also stay historically correct. And that would help reassuring the public.

not really, this is clearly out of her league. There she is just an employee. Nothing more, the ones who could speak up about this are the ones behind all of these and they are more powerful than her in this case.
