    Many K-pop fans get overdramatic during the predebut or debut era of any new group.


    With aespa, it was a bunch of antis speculating that the girls' avatars were a way to "sell" the girls to obsessed fans. They compared it to "prostitution."


    With BABYMONSTER, it was a load of rumors regarding Ahyeon's initial absence from the group.


    With NewJeans, people were unhappy about a top Hanni was wearing and they assumed MHJ was going to cater these girls to creeps.


    All of this predebut or debut negativity aged like spoiled milk.

    People were desperately wanting this girl to fail. They were desperate for drama.

    Ahyeon's going to be one of the most hated yet most savage 4th gen idols. Just based on the way people were speculating about her made it clear to me she's a Jennie type of idol in terms of how people perceive her.

    It's only right for her to have a delayed start because she deserved that time to embrace what's left of her normal life. Her life will blow up and never be the same again once she debuts.

    Not denying that she's getting hate but where are the haters in this particular tweet? I checked the quotes and comments and no one is hating on her? Only two treasure fans complaining about a member wanting to be in the show and hating on YG but that's not hating on ahyeon. Did I miss something?

    Just check TikTok. There are multiple hate videos with over 100k views and a huge amount of comments hating on her for the smallest things and that's just in the last 24 hours.

    I'm just not sure where the "she's different now" narrative is coming from at this point. If you watch a good amount of their content I'm not sure how you can still believe that.
