[theqoo] Actor Song Jaerim passed away today at the age of 39

rip. *sigh*, the pressure and loneliness in SK is crazy. When will things get better there? My heart hurts every time I see news like this.

I just read and commented the article on the main page. I'm so shocked and so sad. I knew him through WGM and followed his work since. He's such a beauty and talent, it's so sad to see him go. And 2 page letter... I mean, he must've had been planning to take his own life for so long, strugling with his emotions, feeling so alone and unworthy of everything he's got. Omg, you guys. I'm really sad.

My prayers goes to his beloved ones and his soul. May his soul heal from everything that led to his early death.

RIP. Take care too momamae - he was too young and talented to leave so soon.

I just read about his passing through the main page, I'm really shocked. Are the claims about him being harassed true? I'm truly horrified if so.

There's a theory that his saseang fan caused this. Apparently this fan had been harassing him daily even exposing personal information and details about him and even exposing his family and friends and others close to him and generally being a nuisance to him. This person deleted all their social media accounts and went into hiding after news of his death. Many people have been trying to find this person as they consider them likely one of the biggest reasons for it.

If true I hope this person feels soo much guilt that crushes them. Remember folks at the end of the day these celebrities are human too, they aren't toys or zoo animals, if you treat them badly you will only get bad results and sometimes those results are tragic and you can't undo this type of harm. I'm sorry isn't going to cut it.

Wtf?? This is terrible. Wow.. I hope justice gets done if this is true.

This is why I wish there’s more severe legal consequences for toxic fans stalking, harassing, and invading artists/celebs. It’s unacceptable for these toxic fans to feel enabled or entitled to do this.

When there's consequences the celebrities get cancelled etc example jaejoong justifiably hit a stalker gets cancelled for it. NCT bodyguard hit a fan that literally attacked the members gets cancelled and demands they get fired etc. when this happens and the victim party gets backlash and blame for everything it just further enables this behavior

I think it has to be contextualize like past actions by toxic fans but I get it - the media and so many ppl do not like to analyze the facts and THEN decide and we known even if facts are shown, there can still be total denial.

But in the end, if there are legal consequences and solid consideration of all the facts, no one should be defending stalkers and fans what has invaded privacy and harassed the celebs. There can’t be cancellations if idols are defending themselves especially if they feel police won’t help them either.

It’s insanity to continue such as this case.
