My first project is halfway done and on the way to getting a certificate!, The start of my wood shop!

The beginning of a new hobby. I mean my dad is really talented in it especially when it comes to impressive tables out of real trees and stuff like that and I have always watched videos on it. I really like make with miles channel and some others which I’ll add. But it’s the beginning of a good thing that helps me with my computer addiction.

Also found my spray paint! And my star photos have been turning out to. At a pretty weird point in life but not to bad at all. Only four more weeks before I can rock climb though.

The first thing to make is a resin chanceries board! I’m making it in November when my dad is back from his cruise, I’ll add it to this post if it turns out well.

I really love crafts and making something with my hands, so I know it can be a great hobby. I've never thought about trying woodwork but I really love items made of wood and one of my uncles dabbles a bit in wood sculpture, so I always admired it.

You are so nice!, I love my electronics and although I do like them, I get into the doom scroll 😅. Going to try to put in some good foundation to discover something a bit more healthy, have a good week 😊

I have been in class from 4pm to 9pm and got home only recently. As I’m making some pasta before bed I’m pretty happy that I got so much done considering having to learn new tools and use certain saws for the first time. I’m on my way to getting a certificate which basically allows me to come in and use the public woodshop whenever I want.

Right now the only thing that needs done is for the colour to cure (I picked blue and speckles of green!), and to stain the wood. Sanding was actually really fun and it was so satisfying!

It wasn’t as anxiety inducing as I thought to be honest. Sure I had a little when using the saw but he was such a good teacher.

I’m really happy how I grown though I’m so bad at doom scrolling and my screen time isn’t great, even if I had a mental health ‘hiccup’ at the start of the year and got off track, I’m happy to learn new things and finally just do something for me. I usually do something to just make someone else proud like the hobbies I use to take up to make my step dad proud for example.

But I’m doing this for me and that feels really great and apart of my journey. You know?

I love Pinterest (I dislike it at times to with the more ads that seem to get added daily…), but I deleted so much and kinda started over on lots of boards.

One of those ideas it gave me is an idea board! Haven’t found the skate board holder I like yet but that’s one I want to build to.
