It's probably about as intentional as the "body bang" line in Supernova being about Bang Si-Hyuk. As in, regardless whether or not it actually is, plenty people will interpret it as true and use it for whatever agenda. Realistically, I doubt it. It's a pretty generic line/sentiment, but the timing is pretty funny, I'll admit.

I don't know how that video means aespa is copying K/DA when K/DA aren't avatars. They're actual characters from League of Legends in a group, and the girls performing are their voice actresses... so definitely not the same situation.
With aespa, it's aespa -> their avatars
With K/DA, it's the characters -> them in a kpop group -> their voice actresses

I literally just went off the assumption of it must be the cats/Katseye thing as I couldn’t work out what tied it to Hybe specifically over any other company or group.
Oh actually katseye openly likes Aespa a lot and Lara shared that whiplash and flowers is song of the day 😅
It has nothing to do with katseye, and katseye are extremely different from Aespa, and I don’t think that it is some kind of hidden reference but it is fun to speculate but it can be a shade too so who knows!
But Whiplash was recorded last year after drama, so not sure if they changed those lyrics after hybe controversies
