should Rose consider not rejoining BP?

  • NO

    Why cant we have BOTH

Solo are for the pinks to explore / express their individual music idenity.

Group songs serve a different purpose. It is a common music identity that defines them as OT4, providing a platform to cross-sell / cross appeal between the 4 solo fandoms, and reach out to the wider mass.

  • I feel like it would be a regression for her

What matters is how SHE feels. If she truly does feel that it'd be a "regression" for her, then fine. But she can like doing multiple styles of music! Artists don't have to stick to one thing, that's why there is solo work! She has an identity as a member of Blackpink, and then she has an identity as a soloist. Both can exist at the same time if she so chooses!

Besides, even if you'd say her being with Blackpink is a "regression" musically, I still think from a business/marketing aspect, her staying with the group would be beneficial for her.

  • I dislike this idea that a member is "too good" for the rest of the group. You might prefer Rosé as an artist over the other members, but that's just a preference for you. I think all the members bring balance to the group, which is why BLACKPINK is so great.

    We can have both.

BLACKPINK was the reason any of the members have the recognition they do. I generally prefer their group activities to their solos.

  • She just can have both. There's nothing wrong to sing YG's songs. Not to backup company or not but it is almost applicable to all kpop idols no matter what company they are from, they will need to follow the producers, composers that been hired by the company unless they given 100% freedom, which is almost impossible by idols contract. Even groups that have members producing or composing always have other co-producing.

Maybe if Blackpink change company then they will be significant change on their music direction.

  • Blackpink BRAND is much bigger than the members so i doubt they will drop it. If they announce a group disbandment this year you would instantly feel the decrease in popularity for each members.

    Dont listen to the haters.

The Pinks get popular as a group with that kind of songs. The moment they drop that musical style, there is chance of underperforming e.g.Lovesick Girls not matter how much the fandom loves that song. Another example is Ice cream which is cutesy but hated by the fandom

They can explore versatility as a group by releasing multiple singles. In fact, multiple title tracks for exactly for that purpose

  • no she can do both

also with all due respect to Rosé - she got to where she is today because she is Rosé of BP

I doubt she get the same opportunities if she wasn't of BP
