I think it never stopped being cool over here, because one or both of these guys come to my country every year to perform on a New Year's Eve concert

Or maybe it's a wrong word - it's not really cool but apparently they're still known over here and played in some radio stations.

It gets worse tho, Dieter Bohlen (one of the members of Modern Talking, still known by the public as horrible casting show judge and music producer) is all once in a while producing covers and remixes for other people of his songs or gives people stuff to sample from and its so weird. People want him to stop, not only as horrible casting sho judge, but also as producer.

This is the last thing I know where he worked with an artist and made him kind of cover/sample one of Modern Talking's songs:

Sounds like it would be Thomas Anders then, cause that guy was also a lot on TV when I was younger, where he performed on music shows (altho we don't really have music shows in Germany, but the guy was on like the one thing people watch every sunday. Uh the sunday one is a show that runs from spring to autumn where you watch a MC talk about cooking recipes, breaking records, interviews artists, shows some people performing stuff like magic tricks or acrobatics etc. and than inbetween you get like 4-6 music acts perform and hundrets of (mostly old people) stand/sit in the crowd watching) and I remember before knowing that Thomas Anders and Dieter Bohlen made Modern Talking, that Thomas was still popular by elderly women as a Schlager-singer. The other one, Dieter Bohlen is nowadays mainly working as a very horrible and controversial casting show MC and music producer. Controversial cause he says a lot of crap to the people atending the casting shows like: "You are so bad, even my dog sings better than you" or "Pls leave, cause watching you sing hurts the camera man" and stuff that made even halfway good singers get brutaly dissed from him with the crap he says. Last year on the casting show DSDS where he is a judge on since 2002 he got it back what he said when being rude to a woman, cause a female youtuber and singer who sat in the show as judge was not too happy with what he said and everyone was like "Finally someone who can stand up against this horrible guy!"

Thank you for explaining! I don't know them well enough to know their names or if they're both still active, but it was interesting to find out. I did notice that at least in the last years, only one of them would perform here, but I never looked up the reason for that.

And yikes, Dieter Bohlen doesn't sound like a nice guy, at least during his MC job.

Dieter has a cartoon-movie about the biography he wrote and its horrible. I watched it by accidant on TV when I was a kid like 16 years ago when it was on TV and I was like 12-13 when it came on TV.

The dude literally starts his biography by explaining how he loves boobs, than a drawn baby runs around in the movie being obsessed with boobs and women be like: "Ah a cute baby, but very naughty 😐 but ok, its a baby so we let him 🙂 " but than the movie quickly changes into how he gets older, starts working, debutes as producer, singer, band-member etc. and how he ends in TV and how he got rid of 2 ex. wifes with saying how annoying he finds them 😐 OK well the 2nd he had, was getting called annoying by everyone, because of her voice and how she was MC of a tv show that apparently was making her unliked (especially with ads she later did on TV) and yikes, the movie was just horrible. IDK why I kept watching it when I was little and not switched off or some.

The dude was cancled off of DSDS from about 1 or 2 seasons in the 2020s but got back onto the show and fans had been nit happy. They said DSDS was finaly enjoyable to watch without Dieter, but when he got back it was not good anymore. Dieter is also judge on "Das Supertalent" since 2006 and its not good either (Das Supertalent is the German version of "(Amerika/Asia/Britain) Got Talent) and yeah no.
