Is Qwer considered gg or band? Are they 5th gen? e.e
The future of KPOP is in their hands

Yes

I'm NEVER gonna understand why people mention XG and Kpop in the same sentence.
Don't get me wrong, they're great, and talented, but they're Jpop or JHip Hop, whatever you wanna call it.
Other than that, KIOF is basically the only one on this list who actually does something and have a good discography. But as much as I love them, I wouldn't say they're the future, because no one can see the future.
Many groups didn't even debut yet, so I'm pretty sure this list will change in the next 2 years.

Because even in Japan, their home country, XG albums and goods are sold in the Kpop section of record shops like Tower and HMV and collector/2nd hand goods places like Mandarake and Lashibang
Not the Jpop section (eg 3F of Tower Records Shibuya)
Not the JHipHop section (eg 3F of Tower Records Shibuya)
Not the Western pop section (eg 7F of Tower Records Shibuya)
But the Kpop section, 5F of Tower Records Shibuya.
Tower Shibuya is one of many, many examples.
If they categorise it as Kpop in Japan who am I to argue?
Another one... KBooks is probably one of the biggest chains of second hand shops in Japan that deals with KJW-pop merch.
I wonder where they have XG stuff?

So what? They’re put in the the K-pop section because they’re only the J-pop groups making waves internationally, not even their CEO claimed them as K-pop group plus they aren’t even 5th gen.
Anyway only KIOF brings something to the table

That makes no sense.
If that was the case, they'd be in the Western Pop section with Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, etc etc. Their albums wouldn't be on the same shelving displays alongside NewJeans, LSF etc

This is so weird. Anyway, let's accept they're a Kpop group then.🤣
