Temps are nice in the summer, with an average day being mid-twenties (celsius) with a few heat waves of low-thirties. Winter is cold but here in NS we have milder temperatures than most of the country. It usually lands between 0 and -10 (daytime). The average is probably -15 at night. Some years we get a lot of snow and some we don't.

Tornadoes are very rare. Hurricanes are less rare. We get a lot of hurricane scares but they usually end up just as tropical storms by the time they reach us. Either that or they're too far off the coast to affect us much. We've had at least one serious hurricane in the past decade, maybe two.
