    Hype Boy continues to make history this year.


    It's been out for two years and is still charting at #23 on the daily charts


    It is already the most liked girl group song in MelOn history and the most streamed girl group song in Circle history


    When it's all said and done, it will be the most statistically impressive song any girl group ever released, and it never even hit #1 on the charts due to the time honored tradition of NewJeans blocking NewJeans

    Stop using "it was different back then!!!" as a crutch to defend songs that have been surpassed.


    Hype Boy spent 51 weeks in the MelOn top 10. That is an all time record and no other song (that isn't a NewJeans song) comes close.

    No saying is a big achievement, just saying it's not always fair to compare groups and songs with statitics from different time periods. Just because song X get more streams today don't mean that achievement is bigger than compared to get half of that number of streams 8-10 years ago. The same way it's not fair to compare Youtube streams. But as you say, comparing the number of weeks a song have been nr 1 is a more fair comparsion.

    The data is out there, but I haven't found anyone who put together a list for it. I've seen a top 10 list floating around somewhere

    This is arguably the most impressive digital accomplishment of their careers, but nobody here can really appreciate it, so I didn't make a thread about it. I still might though.
