The whole “must be in the fanclub” to get tickets thing is genius because it gives you a gauge of what venues you’ll be able to hit the “sold out” threshold and if you keep on choosing venues that hit right below your fanbase number then the exclusivity of the event will begin to help sell it

She can't do this in Europe or in the US, and this is just pre-sale. So, others will have a chance too. In her case, this is more about the fact that you can't be her official fan without a REAL ID verification. She had many problems with so called "fans" back in the day, that's why she's doing this. In Korea, there's no stadium she can't fill.

I'm still waiting for KAKAO to accept my ID, I send them like SIX MONTHS ago! If you have a Kakao account with verified ID, you can apply for IU'S fan cafe, but if you don't live in Korea it doesn't really matter. You can order limited merches, BUT the tax and a shipping fee is like 10x more than the actual price of the merch.🤣 To be fair, that's not only Kakako, the whole Kpop industry like that. Don't know why, tho, because I ordered other stuff from Asia and the shipping fee wasn't as expensive.

All tickets sold out, this wasnt just pre-reservered tickets for fanclub, all seats were available in pre-sale. General ticket sale has been cancelled

Its basically impossible to get a ticket to her in korea if you are not a paying fanclub member.

Becoming a member of it is a bit archacic and a hassle especially for foreigners. Need fanmade guides for it and also only open for signup 1-2 weeks per year when everyone have to sign up again to become a member of the new "generation", so cant just become a member at the time of concert tickets releasing.
