It's time to confront this head-on, because it gets boring to read all this bullshit every time. I'm talking about this weird obession which takes up too much space in kpop namely the "high notes".
If we had to summarize it simply, the vast majority of kpop fans fall into one of these two categories:
The first category who think that singing a high note makes you a competent singer, which is completely false and proves that you know nothing.
The second category is made up of those obsessed with “vocal range” who generally make/watch stupid rankings on YouTube or on social networks.
At this point, many people on this forum should recognize themselves in one of these two categories. So firstly let me tell you that singing in a low register is as technical as singing a high note. So already pack your bullshit "sing a high note = better vocalist".
There is a classification of voice types that exists and this is not for decoration (Bass, Baritone, Tenor, CounterTenor, Contralto, Alto, Mezzo Soprano, Soprano). Every person have natural abilities and limits specific.
There is many factors for determine a singer voice type, like natural anatomy, tessitura, timbre ... and one of these factors is vocal range.
So when you watch your fucking stupid youtube video who make comparisons of best vocalist based on vocal range, you are actually making a comparison on ONE factor. Congrats you're a clown.
So now please use your brain, before posting dumb things like "Idol A is better vocalist than Idol B cause he/she can sing higher note"
