Prince Wilhelm of Prussia was born in 1797. Being a younger son, he had no prospect to become the King, and following the custom for younger Prussian royals , he became a military officer.
He fought in 1814 and in 1815 at Waterloo, where he later met the Duke of Wellington, who didn't take the prince seriously.
After the war was over Wilhelm was sent to his manor where he did nothing for the next 30-odd years, but during the Revolution of 1848 , Berlin was also in a turmoil and because he had military experience he was asked to lead a force to suppress the revolutionaries.
After that, he became prominent in the Prussian court, and he was put into the throne on 1861 at the age of 64.
Although his advanced age led many to expect his reign would be short, he reigned for 27 more years, became the Kaiser(Emperor) of Germany in 1871 and only died in 1888 at the age of 91. He is one of the examples of people who were not doing too great before the age of 50 but became quite prominent in the second half of life.

the SBS year-end show will feature Younha, who was NOT on the first lineups, to collaborate with Yuqi and Minnie of Gidle, meaning Younha will probably try to expand to China and SE Asia. Younha lived in Japan for quite a while and has a history of Japanese releases as well so she has no trouble going back to there as well.
With the end of 3rd Gen, and the advent of 4th Gen, Younha has gained the prominence which eluded her for the last 15 years. It is quite interesting that her return to relevancy coincides with the passing of the most expansionary era of KPop and the start of a new Generation.
Kim Namjoon was aware of Younha's potential, and
it led to this collaboration,
but apparently he did not realize that Younha's days will not coincide with his days.
The Senior Singer of 3rd Generation is, of course, Lee Jieun who was awarded that title by MAMA on 2014, in front of EXO, Big Bang and Winner. BTS' name is not on the list of award winners so they were not there when IU was named the Senior Singer.
IU rode in the coattails of 3rd Generation and achieved a prominence out of K-O-R-E-A simply because she was the chief foe of BTS and other important 3rd Gen act.
But, it seems that just like Castlereagh, Wellington and others were buried into history with Napoleon, Lee Jieun is getting buried with the 3rd Generation and the 4th Generation is choosing Younha, who has no connection with the 2nd and 3rd Generation other than the collabo with RM above, as their Senior Singer in order to prevent Lee Jieun from trying to attack KPop again.
Wilhelm II , who became the next Emperor after the death of Wilhelm I, was actually the grandson of the latter (and also Queen Victoria thru his mother's side), and the first thing he did after becoming Emperor was getting rid of Bismarck, whose career was too tie with the granpa's, and appointed his own people to important positions.
The 4th Gen appears to be ridding the Senior Singer who was too tied with the struggles of the 3rd Gen, and appears to be welcoming someone who was NOT involved in the 2nd and 3rd Gen to mentor to them.
Who would have thought that Younha's heyday would come with the 4th Gen of KPop, who now has someone they can counter against the machinations of the erstwhile Senior Singer who still has not given up the desire to fight with them.
