I never got into the second generation since I only got into kpop in 2019
and not a big fan of K-dramas due to the language I guess (not that I have anything against it) but that I'd much rather watch C-dramas since it's my language (if that makes sense???)

Oh so you missed the peak "Nation's Love" Suzy era. Everyone and their mother, brother, tax accountant, and neighborhood grocer loved Suzy during her wave. Even Madame Tussuades made her out of wax lol.

She blew up in late 2nd gen, around 2010-2011 as the star member of MISS-A, grabbing hosting gigs and starring in the immensely popular k-drama Dream High in 2011 and her first movie Architecture 101 in 2012.
I would say her peak hype era was around 2013 to around 2016. She was in Gu Family Book, won all kinds of awards, and had a zillion endorsements.
Everyone loved Suzy.
Many still do. But that era was crazy!
Suzy probably had a long talk with Twice members behind JYP building after this episode aired. Some say they saw Tuzyu on her knees with both hands raised up.
