damn, was case 143 really that huge in jpn or was the fandom slowly growing over time? seems kinda funny that it was a song in korean to blow up there instead of their previous jpn titles
it's really impressive especially since they don't have any japanese members or ties to japan, they didn't even promote that heavily there until recently

it's not always the same for every group tho. Sometimes one or two members from other countries can help with the group's popularity easier than not having any of them. I'm not saying it's not possible but I'm saying it's easier. If anyone from my country was a kpop idol, I would've definitely supported them. It's a lot like that.
