karen is not a slur, but these gen z kids, who are raised with no respect, will call any person of authority a 'karen'. that is how easily that word has been taken out of it's true meaning and spun to fit teens narrative. same with people always thinking workers are in the wrong, pulling out phones and recording fast food workers cause they think there gonna have their viral moment on tiktok. I don't like the word karen anymore because it has lost it's true meaning, these kids out here are being grown up entitled, yelling at teachers, and when they get disciplined, now all of a sudden that teacher is a karen or boomer.

1. I thought it referred to a "white" woman not a middle aged one

2. I thought a slur would be if the only basis of the term is someone's race or condition not their behavior

I still haven’t really seen it be used outside of the original context, that being to describe a middle aged woman(often a white one) who deems it necessary to complain about most everything, especially when it comes to service and retail employees just trying to do their best, so learning that it’s being applied to all women is shocking.
